present for my dear friend

So a couple of weeks after moving cities (Brisbane-Melbourne) in February, I met a lovely girl at Slopes, a gallery. She's become one of my closest friends down here. It was her birthday recently, and I made her this wall-hanging from a collage I had digitally printed onto fabric:

This was actually a sample I had lying around from a previous project, where I made the blown-up collages into quilts.

earrings

here are some earrings I've made in the past three months, from ready-made / re-purposed materials

beads from a 1960s necklace, jewellery wire, feather duster from a skip, and diamantes.

these wooden disks were a necklace

foam from a skip, covered in glitter, and milliner's wire.

milliner's wire, and two faceted glass beads from a broken necklace belonging to my grandma, Peggy.

I love this pair! These fake flowers are wrapped into a metal hoop, and there are diamantes glued into some of the centres of the flowers. I found the bunch of flowers in the same skip as the duster.

These are my cheerleading earrings. I haven't done much except sew green feather pom poms to the end of the frog's hands.

This is a metal necklace, the strands were originally plaited together.

This is an old necklace. You can wear it a bunch of different ways.

I found a 60s cream/white fur cuff (rabbit?) in an op-shop. I unpicked it, and then wrapped hoop earrings in the fur. These are for winter.
